Description: Sophie practically raised Ariel along with her biological mom. They both love each other fiercely, though Sophie did leave Ariel at the Nexus like a sack of potatoes and went off to live her own life for quite a bit. Ariel used to be more bitter about it, but ten years of sleep give anyone a fresh perspective, and they reconciled shortly after she woke up. Now Sophie mostly runs the daycare in Nice while Ariel works as an Instructor at the Nexus, but they spend the holidays together.

Description: Anne did her best at trying to raise Ariel and Lyra along with her sister. She was a loving mother, though her taste in men was questionable. Description: Uriah is a crossroads demon who had the misfortune of getting captured by nexians, who used him as an exhibit for the Demonology class. That's where he met Ariel, and they both agreed to not kill each other on sight if he ever got out. True to his word, he trained Ariel into the demon-hunting business, using her to eliminate political rivals or retrieve objects for him, supposedly training her to go after the demon that killed her mother. Their professional relation was cut abruptly by Ariel taking a 10-year nap during one of her retrieval missions, which Uriah deemed very unprofessional. Probably. He hasn't shown his face around since, just in case Ariel decides to set it on fire.

Description: Ariel and Ray met during their second year at the Nexus, back when Ariel was trying to be sociable. They became friends, went on hunts together, joined the same CULT... When Ariel went missing for her "quick nap" situation, Ray was the first Nexian she talked to, and the one who helped her figure out how long she'd been gone. After Ariel left for France, the two still kept in touch, with Ray's Primordial powers facilitating their meetings (and giving Ariel a jumpscare or two when Ray popped into her kitchen unannounced). Ariel looks up to Ray as both a strong hunter and a steadfast person, and she feels frankly lucky that their friendship has withstood the passing of time so well, with Ray quite possibly being her longest lasting relation (Sophie excluded).

Professionally, she'd just like it if her paperwork made it back to her in a timely fashion...
